Free Video Editing Software

Windows Movie maker
This is windows only and is suitable for windows 7, 8
You may already have this installed on your machine. A good beginners program.
Can be downloaded from Microsoft as part of Windows Essentials 2012 I believe it also works with Windows 10.

Imovie
Comes as part of Mac software so if you have a Mac you will have this. Good beginners program.

Davinci Resolve
Works with both windows and Mac.
This is a more advanced commercial software but very good. There is a free version you can download
